Amy utilities her extensive experience and knowledge of Shakespeare, which includes training at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts), LAMDA (London Academy of Dramatic Arts) and with top vocal coach Patsy Rodenburg, to bring her students the most impactful and empowering workshops and intensives designed to change your acting forever and for the better!

Shakespeare Two-Day Immersive Intensive
Immerse yourself in a two-day journey of physical and vocal training to gain greater access and understanding of classical text, and how to perform heightened speech naturally, with greater confidence and mastery.
Participants will discover techniques to unlock the text and bring the Bard’s words to life, training will include:

Understand First Folio punctuation and discover the keys to performing Shakespeare the way The Bard had intended.

Stretch the voice, its range, clarity of diction, and flow of speech, learning techniques that from come from master voice instructors such as Patsy Rodenburg and Cicley Berry.

Utilize movement to unlock the physicality of Shakespeare and help you connect with your character on a deeper level.

Learn 'Archetypes' as taught by Glynn MacDonald, Master of Movement at The Shakespeare Globe, London.

Work on speaking and thinking simultaneously. Being in the moment.

Each actors will receive one-on-one personal coaching on their monologue from Amy.
Actors can expect to leave the Intensive creatively enriched, with greater confidence in performing Shakespeare, and excited for their next audition. This work is designed to serve both professional and aspiring actors, age 16 and older, who want to speak Shakespeare with clarity, skill, and passion. Actors must have a fully memorized monologue or sonnet to work with during the Intensive. *Participants should wear loose and comfortable clothing and be prepared to remove their shoes.
Shakespeare Two-Day Advanced Intensive
This is is an advanced-level course that offers actors the opportunity to expand, explore and deepen their awareness of Shakespeare's text and performance. It aims to extend your range of work, uncover tensions that block development and work on strategies to remove them.

Understand First Folio punctuation and examine Shakespeare rhetoric.

Enhance vocal production by attaining new exercises to create a rich, connected, and free voice that will last show after show.

Review Michael Chekhov's 'Psychological Gesture' and learn 'Archetypes' as taught by Glynn MacDonald, Master of Movement at The Shakespeare Globe, London.

Explore the audience/actor relationship and how that strengthens the life of the play and enriches the performance.

Work on speaking and thinking simultaneously. Maximize being in the moment.

Each actors will receive one-on-one personal coaching on their monologue from Amy, and will be assisted with any blocks that the actor maybe experiencing.
Actors can expect to leave the Intensive feeling creatively empowered, a deeper confidence in performing Shakespeare, and excited for their next audition. This work is designed to serve professional and aspiring actors, age 18+. Actors must have a fully memorized monologue to work with during the Intensive. *Participants should wear loose and comfortable clothing and be prepared to remove their shoes.


Shakespeare First Folio Workshop (3 hours)
This First Folio interactive workshop covers the history of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre; explores questions of Elizabethan staging in contemporary performance; delves into Shakespeare’s First Folio; and uses these discussions to approach Shakespeare’s text by working select scenes from the complete plays, with special attention to the opening of King Lear.
Stimulating, and a great deal of fun, this class runs three-hours and is geared to all levels of experience, with something in it for everyone – from those just starting out, to old pros. Observers are also welcome!
No special preparation is required, but if you can, participants should bring a copy of Shakespeare’s complete works, any edition.
